Visitor’s Tax:
The Greek authorities, according to article 30 of Law No. 5073/2023 (Government Gazette A’ 204 11.12.2023), decided that from 1 January 2024 a tax will be charged to hotel guests to address the climate crisis.
The tax is 10.00 euros per night. The tax is paid by the resident who made use of the room or villa and is levied in full even in the case of a half-night stay.
The tax is paid to the hotel by issuing a separate receipt and is not subject to VAT.
